I just recently purchased a new Sony Vaio laptop. Once I hooked it up to the internet via a Netgear router, suddenly my Xbox wouldn't hook up to the internet. I've come to find that the Xbox will let me on Live for spurts of time, but I often lag out within minutes, sometimes I can log back in, other times my Xbox says it can't find an IP address from my router. Here is a picture of my router, I'm assuming its the problem. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://h30094.www3.hp.com/buynowall_assets/Etilize/left/10126015.jpg&imgrefurl=http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/2323423/mfg_partno/WGR614NA&usg=__Rd-BzBh98Rr-0R4JuUEMglwQHl8=&h=300&w=300&sz=26&hl=en&start=22&zoom=1&tbnid=ndBGa63NvyvIXM:&tbnh=147&tbnw=147&ei=xv7DTbAzj8G2B-GD6aoE&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dnetgear%2B54mbps%2Bwireless%2Brouter%2Bwgr614%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1260%26bih%3D839%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=156&page=2&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:22&tx=117&ty=89 As for my laptop, it was connected for less than a week to my network but now it won't connect to the Netgear. I have no idea what to do, I'm suppose to purchase a new router today, maybe one with more Mbps. Anyone have idea what could be causing this to happen? Is it truly the router? Any help would be appreciated.

I've been having quite a bit of trouble with my computer lately due to this, I've had to reinstall everything. When installing Microsoft Office 2010, there was an issue, and it required me to install XP Service Pack 3. I also had trouble installing this, and an error message saying: "Service pack 3 setup cannot update a checked (debug) system with a free (retail) version of service pack 3" When I looked around online, the answer seemed to be opening regedit, going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion and changing 'current type' to checked, rather than free. I went to location and replaced the word free with checked and the service pack installed successfully and asked if I wanted to restart the computer. I clicked to the affirmative and upon restart I was presented with the blue screen of death. Each time I restart the computer I get the same blue screen. I have just managed to start the computer in safe mode and am unsure of what I have to do to correct the situation. Any help is very much appreciated. I'm a student and I'm willing to do almost anything to get it working again so I can hand in outstanding assignments. My Operation system is now XP Media Center Edition (not sure if this makes any difference at all)

Im thinking about buying one, and dont even tell me to buy another one. On my model I have a NVIDIA Geforce Gt 525M Graphics card and was wondering what it meant when people were having trouble about having their graphics card stuck on the, 'Integrated Intel' one? Is the computer running on two graphics cards? So if I'm correct, when playing games it automatically switches to the NVIDIA Geforce Gt 525M.. or do you have to switch it yourself. OR is the computer already and only running on the NVIDIA Geforce Gt525M. Please help me

I have hooked my laptop and xbox together through windows media centre. every time i try and watch a movie on my xbox through itunes (laptop) i get a message saying either "the file type is not recognized cand cannot be played. either the correct codec (a file that compresses/decompresses audio or video) is not installed or the file is corrupt. or Windows media centre cannot find the specified file. be sure the path is typed correctly. if it is, the file does not exist at the specified location, or the computer where the file is stored is offline. i have no idea what im doing wrong i have looked up guides and cant find any simple answers. im not very computer smart so if anyone could give me simple advice i would be very happy. thanks
