My argument about this series' game-changing quality, however, has little to do with the quality of the books themselves, although I am a fan. With hundreds of millions of people across the world reading the same stories and following the same characters, these books have united people in a joint experience at a scale that is parallel with only a handful of other books, including probably the Bible, Quran, other major religious texts and the Lord of the Rings books.Further, in an age of video games, television, movies and other screen entertainment, the Harry Potter books draw children back to books and imagination.See question on Quora
