What are some tourist destinations significant to the history of science?

Answer added in topic Science.Bob Hooker, Researcher in Web 3.0, professional in Web 2.0,... Well I am assuming by tourist destination you mean places tourists go, and history of science you mean the history of science, including what made science possible. In that case:Athens, the classical building, birth place of logical methods and analys.Pisa, birth place of Galileo London, so many spots from the Royal Society (which is in a new building now) to the Mint where Newton work to the Tower where Newton sent forgers to Freud's museum, really the city science was born.Galapagos Island, I understand some tourists go there.Cambridge UK, there is just so much.Cambridge Mass US, I do see tourists there. The problem is that most science is done either in London or in some place boring. For example the University of Chicago is probably the most historically rich location for science in the midwest of the US, but the campus is rather dull and isolated and not really a place for tourists. Every time I go to Boston I go check out MIT but I imagine that means I am a super geek. Bletchley Park is really off the tourist route, last time I was there on the train there was no statement of its importance and when I asked the train staff if it was the Bletchley Park they had no idea what I was talking about.Los Alamos is probably the most significant science spot on the world but I really doubt there is a package tour.See question on Quora
