Why are so many powerful men involved in sex scandals?

While I appreciate and agree with many of the answers here, there's one that's not fully covered and it's bugging me:(Except in the case of attacks à la M. Strauss-Kahn,) So many men are involved in sex scandals because so many women are willing to be involved with those men.I know, I know, power dynamic blah-blah. But my Mama taught me that you don't do married men. Whether they're presidents, senators, actors, rock stars, or the local garbage collector. The heck with whether it's wrong for the dude, it is wrong for these *women* to choose to be with these men—both to themselves and to the families of the dude. It seems a bit hypocritical to put all the onus for having a moral compass on the men, and not ask Why are so many women willing participants?
